I am the RHS Show Digital Editor which means, not only do I get to go a lot of flower shows, I also co-host Gardening with the RHS podcast, meet the most amazing people and get a staff discount on incredible plants. And yes, I am quite smug about it actually.

I also write other things including jokes and, general whimsy.

Some of the many things I wang on about too much include that I’ve got three kids and I’m northern, so feel free to gloss over those bits.

On the comedy side, I confess that I do sometimes do stand up comedy, usually about what a terrible parent/person I am. So do come to one of my shows and loudly agree with me in the medium of laughter.

I am also a comedy writer, and since having done the BBC Radio 4 Comedy Bursary a few years ago, I have had the opportunity to write for lots of amazingly talented people. My credits include, The News Quiz, News Jack, The Now Show, Mock the Week, It’s Jocelyn, Rich Hall’s Election Breakdown and Nature Table.

Having always loved gardening and as a long-time allotment-er, I decided to change careers from News to planty things so I studied and remarkably managed to pass RHS Levels 2 & 3 in Horticulture. Nowadays I still have an allotment, but I’m also learning more about indoor gardening (which to me, will always sound like a euphemism) and urban gardening in my tiny back yard just outside THAT LONDON.
